With the fifth season of Selling Sunset now wrapped up and the reunion episode available to stream on Netflix, reality fans can't wait for their next fix of real estate drama – and it looks as if it's coming soon in the form of Selling the OC.

The spin-off series will follow Jason and Brett Oppenheim as they open a new branch of their brokerage in Orange County and judging by the trailer that aired at the end of the Selling Sunset reunion, it's set to be explosive.

Featuring a new cast of estate agents, the new show will feature expensive listings and hopefully a cameo from a few Selling Sunset cast members – but the most exciting development has to be the fact that there'll be male estate agents starring in Selling the OC.

"It’s a cast of guys and girls, which is different," creator Adam DiVello told Tudum. "The cast is just wild, right from the jump; they don’t hold back. They don’t have any filters. They say what they’re thinking. And it’s a very drama-filled season."

Here's everything we know so far about Selling the OC.

When is Selling the OC out on Netflix?

According to Variety, filming is already under way - so given the fast turnaround of reality TV, Selling the OC should be available to stream at some point in 2022.

While there hasn't been an update on the release date for Selling the OC, in season 5 of Selling Sunset – which arrived on Netflix on 22nd April – Amanda and Mary go to visit Jason and Brett at the OC offices, which has just had its furniture fitted so hopefully filming would have happened around the same time as Selling Sunset season 5 (which began in August 2021).

What is Selling the OC about?

Selling the OC will follow Jason Oppenheim as he opens a second office of his real estate company the Oppenheim Group in Newport Beach, Orange County.

Similarly to Selling Sunset, the show is then expected to follow the professional and personal lives of Oppenheim and the company's agents, capturing all the glitz, glamour and all-important drama that comes with selling high-end property - though this time selling suburban bliss in the Orange County area of Los Angeles.

The show will feature a brand new cast of agents, with Alexandra Hall, Austin Victoria and Brandi Marshall already confirmed to be part of the line-up.

It remains to be seen, however, whether any Selling Sunset cast members will make an appearance - with Chrishell Stause rumoured to pop up seeing as she was dating Jason Oppenheim for seven months.

There had also been speculation that Stause's Selling Sunset co-star Heather Rae El Moussa will make the jump to Selling the OC, though this is reportedly not the case.

We know for sure that Jason Oppenheim will be appearing in Selling The OC, with the Selling Sunset star appointing Mary Fitzgerald as the new manager of The Oppenheim Group's West Hollywood office in Selling Sunset season 5 so that he can focus on work in Orange County.

In the most recent series of Selling Sunset, he also tells Mary and Amanza that he will be hiring more agents for the OC office and so far we know that the likes of Alexandra Hall, Austin Victoria and Brandi Marshall will be joining the cast.

Meanwhile, on the Oppenheim Group's website, Heather Young is listed as an estate agent working for the Newport Beach office, which could mean she's set to pop up in the spin-off series.

Who is Jason Oppenheim?

Jason Oppenheim is founder and President of The Oppenheim Group, the real estate firm that is the subject of the Selling Sunset series.

Oppenheim initially worked as a lawyer at international law firm O'Melveny & Myers, before leaving in 2007 to join the family real estate business that has been running since 1889.

He then founded the iconic Oppenheim Group, a real estate brokerage representing buyers and sellers of luxury properties in Los Angeles - which has of course been the focus of the smash-hit Netflix show since 2019.

Jason's twin brother Brett Oppenheim previously worked as senior vice president of the firm, but has since left to start his own company Oppenheim Real Estate. Brett continues to appear in Selling Sunset, however, though it is unknown if he will have a role in Selling the OC.

Over the years, Oppenheim's clientele has included the likes of Chloe Grace Moretz, Orlando Bloom and Joel Kinnaman, and he has sold properties to Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Alba and Dakota Johnson. Not bad at all!

Is there a trailer for Selling the OC?

Netflix gave fans a first-look at Selling the OC during the Selling Sunset reunion episode, teasing all the estate agent drama to come from the spin-off show.

Unfortunately, the trailer isn't available online just yet – but watch right to the end of the Selling Sunset reunion for the clip!
